Our dermatologist's opinion This is an attack of seborrheic dermatitis, a disorder very frequent in adults and that affects the seborrheic areas of the face, the head and sometimes even the torso. Its clinical aspect varies: dry or greasy dandruff, redness and scaliness (little white flakes that come away), in the folds of the face, the eyebrows, the pavilion of the ear or the hairline. It is encouraged by seborrhea and is caused by an imbalance of the cutaneous flora favouring the multiplication of a fungus, called Malassezia, often found on the skin. Stress can accentuate the phenomenon while rest and sun can, on the contrary, improve the dermatitis.
The advice of Didier Rase Your dermatologist can advise you of the best treatment to make these inconveniences disappear. Do not forget that you should "look after" your scalp: wash it gently with special shampoos for your condition.
