Long term hair removal is possible today thanks to LASERS. Different techniques are available: alexandrite, diode, Nd:YAG, filtered pulsating light beams. Treatment usually takes from 12 to 18 months with one session every 6 to 12 weeks depending on the area to be treated. For men, hair removal from the back cannot be done before age 25 to 30 because you have to wait until hair growth is complete to avoid the risk of paradoxical excess hair growth. This phenomenon involves the appearance of hair in areas where it was not visible before laser treatment.
